How to Talk to Liberal Voters
*sigh* Disheartening somewhat to listen to what some people I spoke to today about politics.
Person 1: Religious middle income family man. “I reckon the polling theyre doing at the moment is wrong, it cant be right technique or sample numbers. People apparently just want change for changes sake.”
Person 2: CEO worth over 200k p.a. “Remember which party it was that gave us 17% interest rates”
Person 3: Person who aspires to earn over 200k, but never will. “Labor want to spend all this money on education and health, thats gonna put interest rates up”
Rather than point out the horrendous flaws in all of these peoples thinking, I bit my tongue and merely discussed it as an interest participant, but did slip out that I live in an extremely marginal electorate.
I got home and decided to look up the seats in which these people live.
Person 1: Tangney
Person 2: Pearce
Person 3: Moore
All three are safe liberal seats.
In order to solve the dilemma of whether to correct these persons line of thinking, I thought outside the square.
I looked up what seats they lived in and realised the opnions of people like Person 1, 2 and 3, DONT FUCKING MATTER ANYWAY!
HURRAH!
